School Benefits
Our Living Yearbook is a currently a free service for schools. All schools that enroll in the service during the 2007-2008 school year will
receive the service free for as long as they remain members of
Our Living Yearbook. It is
anticipated that in future years and annual enrollment and yearly maintenance fees
will be charged to new member schools.
Our Living Yearbook takes the convenience of on-line photo sharing and provides
it to schools (to provide to their students and families) with
unsurpassed security and on-line safety. To our knowledge, no other photography company provides the level of
security and service that are the cornerstone of the service we offer.
Without this level of security, our recommendation would be for schools to
not be involved in on-line photo sharing.
Our Living Yearbook provides each school with a customized webpage that will
be linked directly to the school’s homepage. Our Living Yearbook does not require
the school to have
or to use its secure intranet for photo sharing. We provide the security and the labor to make the site work.
Our Living Yearbook allows parents, teachers, and professional photographers
to upload digital photographs to a secure
website that can only be accessed
by parents and student who have been
approved by the school.
Visiting Our Living Yearbook’s website
is a privilege that is granted and can be revoked by the school at any time.
No one can visit a school’s without
prior authorization from the school.
Schools that
provide Our Living Yearbook to their
families are providing an additional service that builds a stronger sense of community
among parents and students. The purpose
of Our Living Yearbook is to help families
enjoy the magical years of childhood by viewing many school related experiences
throughout the year. Our Living Yearbook
is intended to supplement the traditional portrait photos
that we all know and enjoy.
While not the
primary motivation, Our Living Yearbook also represents a development opportunity
for the school. A link to Our Living
Yearbook is posted on the homepage of the school/ school district. When visitors visit the site, they can simply view the photos or they can
purchase prints or digital downloads. Our
Living Yearbook also provides many other unique, specialized photography products
that will be enjoyed by students and families. For any purchase is made from Our Living Yearbook, the school receives 25% of the profit made from the purchase. Payments for purchases made are
provided to the school on a monthly basis (along with a detailed purchase report).
